Novomatic AG, an Austrian-based game equipment maker, has launched a new tool for tournament play through live dealer tables that are part of its "Novvision" casino management system.

The new "Novovision Tournament" product allows operators to "plan, organize and manage their own tournaments and even leagues while fully managing all the parameters and events at the table," it said in a press release on Tuesday.

According to the company, tournament tools reduce the "management effort" of organizing live tournaments. These features include "detailed settings for game type, chip, round, buy-in, and dynamic prize calculations, as well as sophisticated table and player management."

"This application allows operators to manage tournament display content as well as message and sound notifications for unlimited screens throughout the venue," Novomatic added.

According to the update, operators can monitor and control all tournament details "in real time" through the system app.

The maker said the Novovision tournament supports a variety of card games, including several poker variants, blackjack and baccarat. It also integrates with other Novovision tools, including a "cash desk" for tournament registration and a system wallet.

The announcement quoted Jens Einhaus, sales director at Nobomatic Biometric System (NBS), as saying, "The poker tournament is a very popular casino event, but anyone who has ever run it before knows how much effort and attention to detail it takes to organize smoothly."

He added: "The new Novovision tournament module allows operators to rely entirely on the system to guide all tournament events and settings."
